SUCH ARE THE TIMES
One must have respect for oneself
If respect from others is needed
for one’s individual power and pelf…
It is a misnomer to think that selflessness is good
An inert stone lying passively
is crushed by every footstep
it just asks for itself to be trampled…
but a few steps raised to the temple
this very stone will be worshipped…
Such are the present times
Nowadays arrogance begets submission
But humility begets humiliation
This world reveres status and wealth
So self projection with self promotion
Is the order of the day
It would be sagacious to live the selfish way…
