The Tandons of Lucknow have three prodigious children — Raju, Anju and Lali. The elder ones are very intelligent as well as disciplined. So is their youngest sister, a three years old cute child prodigy. Lali has a unique flair for counting whatever comes her way.
The Tandons live in a Society flat on an upper floor and sometimes their children stay back when they go out. The children have a hawk’s eye. Once in absence of their parents what they saw helped in solving a case of burglary in the Society.
One of their neighbouring families, staying in a ground floor flat, is away for an urgent work. Their house is burgled. When police intervene, lack of clues gives them a run for their investigating skill. Many people are cross-examined but the final clue eludes.
Then the three children give a photographic account of the day when burglary took place. After all analysis Lali’s headcount leads to the actual burglar. What geniuses these children possess? What counting enigma Lali is?
