A baby sparrow is instilled with pride in being what she is and gently she is encouraged to put in her best effort and go on trying to fly. This is a necessary inculcation of the correct attitude for all babies during the most important time of forming their mind set which is from birth till five years of age.
She holds an M.A. in English Literature (1970) and an LLB (1971), and has over 50 years of experience teaching English to children and adults. Since 1992, she has written 800+ articles, stories, and poems, over 200 children’s books, and 15 novels for young adults. A life member of AWIC, she has won multiple national awards, including CBT’s All India Prizes and honors from Tinkle, Family Magazine, and Femina–Aahat. Her work has been published internationally, with one story translated into Japanese and several featured in Atlanta-based publications. Many of her books have appeared on HT Neilson’s Best Seller list, often ranking above renowned authors like Ruskin Bond.
